This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the Android apps I publish on Google Play under the name Konstantin Mnemo, and when you visit this website. Each app also has its own policy page that lists what that app accesses on your device. Where an app’s page says more than this policy, the app’s page applies to that app.
In short
- You don’t need an account to use my apps.
- If you turn on sync, your reading is kept in your own Google Drive. I can’t see it.
- Some apps send usage statistics and crash reports through Google Firebase, without your name or email. You can turn them off, and in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland usage statistics are sent only if you agree.
- Free apps show ads from Google AdMob. Google may process your advertising ID, device information and IP address to show and measure ads.
- Purchases are handled by Google Play. I never see your card details.
- I don’t sell personal data.
Who I am
Konstantin Mnemo is the publishing name of Konstantin Khlopushin, registered in Armenia as an Individual Entrepreneur under the name KHLOPUSHIN KONSTANTIN YURII, IE (TIN 20425181, State registration No. 286.1615098), Hakob Hakobyan 3, Yerevan 0033, Armenia.
In this policy, “I”, “me” and “my” refer to me in that capacity. I am responsible for the personal data I handle myself, as described below. You can reach me at [email protected] or +374 98 129 390.
What I collect
No accounts
My apps don’t ask you to create an account or sign in. Apart from the usage statistics and crash reports described below, I don’t collect personal data from them, unless an app’s own policy says otherwise.
Your data, and where you send it
Unless an app’s own policy says otherwise, what you create or set in an app stays on your device, and it is removed when you uninstall the app or clear its data in Android settings. It goes elsewhere only where you send it: to your own Google Drive if you turn on sync (see Sync with Google Drive), to a folder you choose for a backup, or to a server or network folder you connect the app to. None of it is sent to me.
Online services you use from an app
Some features go online when you use them, such as a catalog of free books, a server or network folder you add, a service that looks up details of a book or comic, or a download of a dictionary, a translation language or a text recognition model. The app then connects to that service directly, and the service receives your IP address and the request, such as a search or the file you asked for. Each app’s policy lists the services it can reach. They handle this under their own privacy policies, and I receive nothing from them.
When you contact me
If you email or call me, I receive your email address or phone number and whatever you choose to tell me. I use it only to answer you, and keep it only as long as needed for that and for any records the law requires me to keep.
Sync with Google Drive
Some apps can keep your reading in step across your phones through your own Google Drive. Sync is off until you turn it on in the app and choose a Google account.
- What the app can access: a private app folder in your Drive that only that app can see (Google’s
drive.appdatapermission) and, in apps that offer it, only the files the app itself creates in your Drive, such as books you choose to save there (drive.file). It can’t see or change anything else in your Drive. - What it keeps there: what your other phones need to catch up, such as your reading places, highlights, notes and bookmarks, your settings and the changes you made to your library, and the files you chose to save.
- Your Google account: Google tells the app your account’s email address, which the app shows in its settings so you know which account is connected. It stays on your phone.
- Who can see it: the data goes directly between your phone and your Drive. It doesn’t pass through me, and I can’t see it.
The apps use what they receive from Google only to provide sync and the files you save. It isn’t used for ads, sold, shared, used to train AI models, or read by anyone. The apps’ use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
To stop syncing, turn sync off in the app. To remove the app’s access, open Third-party connections in your Google Account. To delete what the app kept in your Drive, open Google Drive on the web, go to Settings › Manage apps, and choose Delete hidden app data next to the app. Files the app saved to a folder you can see are deleted like any other file.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
Free versions of my apps show ads from Google AdMob, an advertising service provided by Google. To choose, show and measure ads, and to prevent fraud, the Google Mobile Ads SDK in the app may collect and send to Google:
- device identifiers, such as your advertising ID and app set ID;
- device information, such as model, operating system version and language;
- your IP address, which can be used to estimate your general location;
- information about the ads you see and tap, and diagnostic information about the ads’ performance.
Google handles this data under its own policies. See How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Your consent
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the app asks for your consent before personalised ads are shown, using Google’s consent tools. If you don’t consent, Google may still show non-personalised or limited ads, which use less data but still use some, for example to limit how often you see an ad and to prevent fraud. You can change your choice at any time in the app’s Settings, under Privacy › Ad choices.
Resetting your advertising ID
Your advertising ID is an identifier that Android provides for ads. You can reset or delete it at any time. Menu names vary between devices, but on most phones:
- Android 12 and later: open Settings › Privacy › Ads (on some phones Settings › Google › Ads), then choose Reset advertising ID or Delete advertising ID.
- Earlier versions: open Settings › Google › Ads, then choose Reset advertising ID or turn on Opt out of Ads Personalization.
You can also review how Google personalises ads for you in My Ad Center.
Usage statistics and crash reports (Firebase)
Some of my apps use two Google Firebase services, to help me fix problems and see which features are used. Each app’s policy says which of them it uses.
- Firebase Analytics records how the app is used: for example, that it was opened, which screens were viewed, and actions such as an in-app purchase.
- Firebase Crashlytics sends a report when the app crashes or meets a serious error: where in the code it went wrong, and the state of the device at the time, such as free memory and storage.
With these, Google receives an identifier for this installation of the app, your device model, Android version, app version, language, and your approximate country, worked out from your IP address. The reports don’t include your name, your email, your advertising ID, or what you open in the app, such as file names or titles.
Google processes this data for me as a service provider. Usage statistics tied to an installation are deleted 14 months after they are collected; after that, only totals remain, not linked to any installation. Crash reports are kept for 90 days. See Privacy and security in Firebase.
Your choice
- Usage statistics are on by default. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, they stay off unless you agree when the app asks, together with the question about ads.
- Crash reports are on by default, because they are how I find and fix faults that stop the app from working.
- You can turn either off at any time in the app’s Settings, under Privacy.
In-app purchases
Some apps offer optional in-app purchases, for example to remove ads or unlock features. Purchases are processed by Google Play under Google’s terms and the Google Privacy Policy. I never see or store your card number or other payment details.
Google Play tells the app what was bought so that it can unlock it, and shares with me the order information I need to manage purchases and refunds. I use it only for that and for the records the law requires me to keep.
Why I may use your data
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, data protection law asks me to say on what basis your data is used:
- Your consent: personalised ads and usage statistics. You can withdraw it at any time in the app’s Settings, under Privacy.
- Legitimate interests: crash reports, to find and fix faults; non-personalised ads, which keep free apps free; preventing fraud and abuse of the apps and this website; and answering you when you write to me. You can object to any of these in the app’s Settings or by writing to me.
- Performing a contract: your purchases, and sync and the other online features you ask an app to use.
- Legal obligation: keeping the purchase records that tax and accounting law require.
This website
This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no third-party trackers. Its fonts are served from this site, not from a third party.
Like any website, it is delivered by a hosting provider, Cloudflare, Inc., which processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse.
Who I share data with
I don’t sell or rent personal data, and I don’t share it with anyone for their own marketing. I share data only with these service providers, for the purposes described in this policy:
- Google: ads (Google AdMob), usage statistics and crash reports (Firebase), app distribution and payments (Google Play).
- Cloudflare, Inc.: hosting this website.
- Proton AG: my email at konstantinmnemo.com, if you write to me.
A service you use from an app yourself, such as your Google Drive, a server you add or a catalog, receives what you send it, as described above. I don’t share anything with it.
These providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States and Switzerland. I may also disclose information when the law requires it.
Children
My apps are not directed at children under 13, and I don’t knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has sent me personal data, contact me and I will delete it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data about you, to object to or restrict how it is used, and to withdraw consent you have given. Because I hold almost no personal data myself, you can make any request by writing to [email protected].
For data that Google processes for ads, usage statistics or crash reports, use the choices in the app, your device’s ad settings, or Google’s own tools described above. What sync keeps is in your own Google Drive, and you can delete it there, as described under Sync with Google Drive. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority, such as the one in the country where you live.
Changes to this policy
I may update this policy when my apps change or the law requires it. The current version is always on this page, with its effective date at the top. This version is effective from 28 October 2026.
